About
Senior SEO Strategist specializing in GEO and AI search visibility. Practitioner notes, open-source tools, and real observations from the field.
This site is built around one core idea: document what’s actually happening in AI search, not what the blogs say is happening.
The hands-on GEO work started out of necessity. Before dedicated tracking tools existed, I was manually querying ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews to see which brands were being cited, which weren’t, and why. I built spreadsheets to log it. I wrote Python scripts to automate parts of it. I adjusted strategy based on what I observed. That’s still how this works.
From 2022 to 2026, I led SEO and AI search strategy at a national automotive agency — managing organic, local, and technical SEO across 30+ dealership brands and 50–100+ Google Business Profile locations. That scale forced me to build systems: audit templates, Looker Studio dashboards, Python automation workflows that made GEO and technical SEO repeatable across large client portfolios.
Earlier work includes over two decades of digital marketing and web design for clients across the US, UK, and EU, along with roles at Apple (part of the original iPhone launch team), AT&T, and a nationwide mystery shopping company where I owned the full marketing function solo.
What this site is
myainotes.com is where I document what I’m doing and learning in AI search — tools I’ve built, templates I use, prompts that actually work, and observations from real work. Everything on GitHub is public and free to use.
